It’s one of the most interesting towns of the whole area. Both the historic centre and the surrounding area preserve the aspect of the past.
Casamale is its oldest district: still surrounded by the Aragonese walls, it contains the ruins of the castle, the sumptuous Collegiata and the Church of St. Dominic. Further down you can find the fifteenth-century Church of Santa Maria del Pozzo and the nearby Museum of rural life, which collects 3,200 objects of daily use and about 3,000 photographs about the agriculture of Campania.
